Santa Maria

Santa María del Camí is in the parish of Raiguer.

The historic centre has a large Casa de la Vila ( town hall ) built in the 17th Century and a large parish church built in the baroque style of the 18th Century.

The back ro to Alaro has a turning which turns into a track over the mountains, along a waterfall complex ( when it has been raining ) and comes out in the valley of orient. This walk takes about 3 hours and includes breath taking scenery not normally associated with Mallorca. Continuing this walk over the next mountain range ( which takes a further 3 hours ) would arrive you in Soller.

Sunday is market day, and it is one of the biggest market in mallorca in the main sqare. Live animals both for sale and for riding make this a great morning out for kids and bargain hunters alike.

Vineyards border the road into the town from the North.
