Jabbalist Who, What, Where, When, Why

Hopefully you will find the answer to your question on this page.

Who is this service designed for?

Jabbalist is designed for people who share interests, or run interest orientated web sites, to either put them in contact, or to share information and specifically calendar dates between them.

Can I download my email list?

Yes. The full email list is show when you view the listing page which corresponds to your website.

Who can view my dates?

Dates that you enter into the Jabbalist system are completely private and unique to your account. If you specify that a date belongs to a group of which you are a member then other people in that group will be able to see the date as well, unless you specify that the date is manager only in which case you or the group owner will be able to see the date. If you specify that a group is public then anybody will be able to see the group.

How do people see my public dates?

Anybody can put a calendar on their website which shows public dates. They can specify which public dates are shown either by category or by geographic location.

Can anybody else edit my dates?

No.

How does the people search work?

If enter information into your profile, then people who you share groups with will be able to view your skill and interests and contact you directly.

Who else can contact me directly?

Only people you already share groups with can see your contact details directly. However, people can view your other details indirectly, and then contact you through a shared group member. i.e. the can request the 'middle man' to put you in contact.

What if I want everyone to be able to see me?

You can mark fields on your contacts page as being public in which case anybody will be able to contact you directly on these fields when they do a skill search.
